Update December 2023: All AccountEdge installs, using the Windows emulator on macOS require a paid subscription in USD. There is no other option except a subscription model. Connected Accounting and ERP for macOS is the only application in Canada that supports a native desktop program for macOS that can be purchased outright w/o a subscription.  Connected is a universal application that runs natively on Apple M1/M2/M3 chips.

Update Feb 2020:  AccountEdge is no longer supporting future macOS development

From Priority Accountedge: "We are disappointed to share that we will not be able to offer a Catalina-compliant version of AccountEdge - now or in the future. In the end, AccountEdge’s 30-year-old codebase proved too outdated to establish compatibility with Apple’s newest operating system. In spite of a multi-year project that involved a team of developers and analysts, it’s a project we will not be able to complete"

When supporting the macOS business community it is very disappointing to see a viable accounting software option cease development for the platform.  We are unable to recommend this solution to macOS users as it will require expensive workarounds and/or monthly hosting fees.
